The WIM COMPAS™ adds to Hobré’s portfolio of process analyzers for (Fuel and flare gas combustion measuring) measuring the Wobbe Index, heating value (BTU) and the Combustion Air Requirement Index (CARI). Designed and manufactured in-house, the WIM COMPAS™ builds on hobré’s 20+ years of success and experience with residual oxygen type analyzers. The WIM COMPAS™ is used to control the thermal input and air:fuel ratio in such a way that disturbances caused by fuel gas quality fluctuations are minimized, the combustion process occurs with maximum efficiency and emissions are reduced to a minimum.

The TISOMIC, with unique PA-TDL technology, is a proven and low maintenance on-line process analyzer for H2S, H2O, and CO2 with state of the art electronics. Typical applications of the TISOMIC include everything from H2S in multiphase crude oil, down to H2S, H2O, and CO2 in sales gas and pipeline monitoring.

The C-QUAND is a sensitive yet robust, easy to operate & maintain, continuous process analyzer which will enable the optimization of your plant process. With its broad range from Silicon (Z=14) to Uranium (Z=92), the C-QUAND comes into its own in various applications such Total Sulphur measurement, complex metal solutions, PTA and PIA plants and waste water streams. With its industry leading accuracy, repeatability, long-term stability and continuous availability it will be a reliable workhorse in your process.

The residual oxygen Wobbe Index technology has proved its value in large industrial fuel gas control systems. The larger and faster variations in natural gas raised a demand to use the technology for smaller size burner installations. The HIGAS is a compact natural gas quality analyzer meter, providing the Wobbe Index, Heating Value, Specific Gravity and Combustion Air Requirement within 15 seconds.

In spray drying processes, the capacity of the dryer is greatly influenced by the humidity of the drying air. The more water the inlet air contains, the lower the remaining capacity for water uptake of this air is. By measuring humidity of the drying air, the process can be controlled in a way to maximize water uptake of each kilogram of air. At the same time powder production capacity is maximized and energy efficiency is increased

The safety and efficiency of spray drying has become increasingly important for manufacturers operating in the food and pharmaceutical industries due to increasing demand, energy prices, and environmental requirements. Manufacturers therefore face the challenge of improving efficiency while keeping their operations continuous, cost effective, and, most importantly, safe.

CO detection is widely used for pre-warning in dryer installation safety systems. Uncontrolled process conditions can cause the product to coagulate and form lumps. These coagulated products are exposed to increased residence times, which can cause smoldering reactions. These smoldering reactions are a significant risk of fire and explosion. Over the years CO detection has proven itself as a reliable pre-warning system that shows a detectable increase in CO concentration due to smolder, more than 30 minutes before fire and explosion occurs
